2025 / 2026
Cirencester U3A All Boules have entered a new
knockout competition called the Western Challenge
Cup. They were at home on Sunday 23rd March in St
Michaels Park against “The Clangers” from Nailsea.
The games were mostly close with The Clangers
winning 4-1. Cirencester await the plate competition
draw.
The Gotherington Invitational doubles competition will
be held on Sunday 27th April 2025.
3 Teams have entered from Cirencester U3A with “A
load of boules” Dave Wright and Jef Wickes, “Original
Fakes” Tony and Kathy Fakes and “xxxxx” John Smart
and Paul Freke.

Pete C had entered the GWR Winter Doubles
competition held held over several Sundays between
November 2024 and March 2025. Pete is part of a
team of 4 from Cricklade Saxons. They came 18th out
of 27 so not too bad.

Friendly matches
Cirencester U3A played Tetbury U3A at The
Red Bull just outside Malmesbury on Friday
15th September. A group of 12 cirencester
players played 11 players of Tetbury.
Cirencester won 6 games and lost 4 so a
good result for Cirencester.
